Reece
Reece has been interested in fitness his entire life. He became a competition swimmer at the age of 4. At 16 he started out as a long distance runner in high school, and began bodybuilding at the age of 21. After 15 years of this 'non-competition,' amateur weight training he became interested in the meditative qualities of yoga upon, among other reasons, reading about Bikram, a celebrated bodybuilder who also later became a yogi.
He has been practicing yoga ever since, and at the age of 39, and after 7 years of elementary education, decided to pursue a second career as a yoga instructor and is a graduate of the Yoga Den™ 200 hour Teacher Training program. He incorporates a broad range of disciplines, anywhere from a restorative 'hatha' yoga, to the more strenuous 'ashtanga' style. Please join him on his personal journey.

Sara Nail
Searching for a peaceful, more balanced way to honor mind and body, I decided to try yoga. I was told the best way to learn about it was to immerse myself in it. The Yoga Den 200-hour Teacher Training program had an accelerated summer session in 2008 where I would live and breathe yoga 6 days a week for 3 weeks. In addition to the many poses, I also learned the history and philosophy behind yoga, how to link movement with breathe and how to turn my senses inward to maximize the benefit of every breath and every pose. It was during this intense apprenticeship that I discovered my passion for the yoga lifestyle.
I am drawn to the endless possibilities and seamless flow of Vinyasa yoga. I enjoy the restorative nature of Mind~Body, and the invigorating stretch of heated Power. I aspire to increase my knowledge and look forward to exploring other styles. My yoga practice has deeply affected my life and teaching others has become a powerfully creative outlet. I hope to encourage students to discover their own expression and connection between mind, body and soul through the practice of yoga.

Shae Young
Shae began to practice Yoga in 2001 as youth counselor in Fairfax County, Virginia. Through a "Yoga for Beginners" series at the Yoga in Daily Life Ashram in Alexandria, Virginia, she learned breathing techniques that helped her manage stress and physical postures that increased flexibility.
Moving to Jacksonville in 2002, she continued to practice. Over time she began to recognize an inner dialogue taking place, a conversation her body had been having with her heart for years. Yoga helped her mind open to this dialogue, as if she suddenly tuned into her own personal 3 way radio.
Shae holds a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Psychology and Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She worked as a counselor for nine years in Chicago, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. She is committed to Yoga as a stress reducer and mood regulator.
Shae also advocates for Yoga's benefits in the corporate world where she has worked as an advertising executive for the last six years. She points to lower blood pressure, relief of lower back pain and carpal tunnel syndrome as just the beginning. Having experienced two serious injuries on the same ankle, she is deeply passionate about the healing power of a dedicated Yoga practice.
Shae is excited to share this enthusiasm with others. Her goal is to make Yoga's rewards more accessible in today's society. Her energy can translate to a vigorous flow or deep practice. She loves questions about Yoga, so don't hesitate to ask when you attend her class.
