In our last blog, we talked about some of the excellent yoga poses that you can do to help alleviate your back pain. The best thing you can do for a sore back is to stretch it out on a regular basis. We suggest that you do these yoga poses at home and join us for a few yoga classes so that we can help you with your back pain.

Triangle pose

This particular pose not only strengthens your back but it also gives your legs a good stretch at the same time. To complete this pose, first, stand with your feet together and lunge back with one leg. You will want your legs to be about three to four feet apart. Point the back foot at a 45-degree angle and turn your chest to face the same direction that your foot is pointing. Lift the back arm up, bending at the hip, and keep your legs straight. It is okay if you cannot touch the ground with your front hand, so don’t over stretch.

Cat and Cow pose

These two poses go hand in hand are relatively easy to do. Both are able to loosen up the back muscles without putting too much strain on them. To do these yoga poses, get on your hands and knees to begin. To do the cat pose, you will want to press your spine up and arch your back. After a few seconds, you will want to move to the cow pose which can be done by pressing your shoulder blades up and back while lifting your head. Doing this about 10 times every day can help put your spine in a more natural position.

We have a few more poses that we would like to share with you so make sure to come back and check them out soon.
