Mind Body

A Yoga Den Original Mind Body yoga is an all levels class based on the Kripalu tradition, perfect for beginners and accessible to anyone not needing adaptive (chair) yoga. Grounding and static in nature, this practice provides ample time to explore safe alignment in each posture, providing a deep stretch while maintaining an awareness of breath. Modifications and variations are offered for different levels of strength, flexibility, and desired energetic output. Permission language is given throughout, to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Room Temperature averages 78 degrees to facilitate deeper, safer stretching.

Sun Power

A Yoga Den Original Sun Power yoga is an athletic practice that begins with Sun Salutations and is followed by held postures mindfully sequenced to increase strength, stamina, and flexibility. Pulling from an eclectic blend of lineages and styles such as Ashtanga, Jiva Mukti, and Anusara, Sun Power classes are taught with a post-traditional perspective, inviting students to listen to their bodies, modify if needed and rest any time.

Room Temperature Averages 90 degrees to promote detoxification through perspiration.

Sun Power Flow

Sun Power Flow is an athletic heated practice that offers dynamic sequences with held postures like Sun Power, but in addition will also repeat the sequences multiple times to maintain continuous movement, elevate heart rate and create a flow state, or moving meditation, in both body and mind. You will learn to coordinate breath and movement and flow through sequences designed to strengthen and unite your musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems.

Room Temperature Averages 90 degrees to promote detoxification through perspiration.

Restorative

Restorative yoga is a therapeutic class that promotes healing and well-being on all levels. Only floor-based shapes are taught, and offered with longer holds to provide the stability and time needed by both body and mind to decompress. Props are offered throughout the class for added comfort and support, and students are encouraged to settle into maximum ease to remove any discomforts and/or distractions to achieve mental, emotional, and physical relaxation.

Yin

Yin yoga is a special practice designed to improve flexibility, energy flow, and range of motion by targeting the connective tissues of the body in very controlled practice. The perfect complement to any dynamic yoga practice or sport, Yin yoga benefits athletes of all types in terms of injury prevention and muscular rebalance. Postures are held for 2 to 5 minutes in order to stretch the fascia and connective tissues surrounding the muscles and the joints.
