The class begins with 5 Sun Salutation A’s and 3 Sun Salutation B’s; followed by the standing sequence from the Ashtanga method of yoga. This is a grounding practice with each shape being held for 5 breaths. The practitioners will have time to explore the shape in their bodies and learn the sequence over time. While the class is challenging in nature, it is accessible for everyone. There is plenty of guidance from the teacher and hands on assists if receptive. This class is not heated, but will not be cooled. The movements lead to a lightly sweaty class.
