Lindsay Polk

yoga den crossroads lindsay polkI am Lindsay Polk and my yoga journey began back in 2008 when I attended my first yoga class in California where I lived at the time. I fell in love with yoga from the beginning, I was obsessed. I never knew the peace that could come from calming the mind while working the body hard. I had many opportunities to certify but I didn’t want to loose my love of the practice plus I was working full time and had young children.

In 2020 my world was rocked when in the middle of a pandemic my husband was transferred to Florida for work. I had never lived anywhere but California ,my family, my work family & my yoga family was all there. I came to Florida extremely broken hearted. I found Yoga Den shortly after the move & felt a pull to certify as an instructor to share my love of the practice. I completed my 200 YTT with Yoga Den in 2021 & have been teaching a full schedule ever since. Turns out my love of the practice has only deepened from teaching. I am forever grateful for the beautiful practice of yoga & how it continues to connect me with amazing people all over the world.

Deb Cunningham

deb yoga den crossroadsDeb, her 3 children and her husband moved to Amelia Island from Chicago in July of 2011. She discovered yoga in 1999 with 1 yr old twins at home and another on the way. She was instantly hooked. As a dancer for 20 years, Deb found the asanas in yoga moved her like nothing had since dancing. And as her family can attest, yoga was instrumental in bringing both strength and grounding in the most challenging of times. Deb dove head first into all things yoga; seeking workshops and classes with such master teachers as Seane Corn, Simon Park, Rolf Gates, Dave Romanelli, Alex Austin, Desiree Rumbough, Kathryn Budig , John Friend, Baron Baptiste and Yogi Amrit Desai.  She finally realized her dream completing her 500 hour RYT teacher training at Yoga Den in Jacksonville and obtained her Certification in the I AM method of Yoga Nidra Meditation at the Amrit Yoga Insitute in Salt Springs, Florida. She is honored to be an Educator on the Yoga Den Team and facilitates in both the 200 hour and 300 hour tracks.

She brings a playful, creative spirit to her vinyasa style practice and is blessed to be able to share her passion as a teacher.  Deb also is the first to bring SUP Yoga here to Amelia Island, as an ACA Certified SUP instructor and YA SUP Yoga Instructor.

Sarah

Hi! I was born and raised on the beautiful Connecticut shoreline, spending 44 years there. I moved to Florida in 2020 just as the pandemic began. I’ve got two wonderful grown sons and the most precious granddaughter.

Yoga to me, is no less than everything. It is where I come to calm the mind, turn my gaze inward, settle, and learn who I really am. Yoga has taught me that i really didnt know who i was before. Yoga is a way of life. It is so much more than just postures. It is having a moral compass and the discipline to live by it, on and off the mat. Yoga is healing power through the breath, cleansing and purifying the body. It is also the quiet place we come to rest the body, mind, soul, spirit, and energy; escaping the world off of the mat and just finding stillness.

I started practicing yoga in the late 90s, not setting foot in an actual studio until 2017. I became a teacher in January of 2023 and the beautiful adventure that has ensued shows no sign of slowing. I couldn’t be happier. Through Yoga I have learned to take every day as it comes, staying present in the moment, and I am living my best life. I love all yoga but power flow and yin are my favorites. I love to end each class by playing my crystal singing bowls during savasana. I hope to see you on the mat!
Peace!

I’ve practiced yoga on and off for many years but it wasn’t until 2021 that I became serious about it after a back injury.  Yoga helped heal me!  I completed my 200 hour teacher training in January of 2023 at Yoga Den.  It was during this training I discovered yoga is so much more than the physical practice.  It encompasses the mind, body and spirit.

As my practice has grown, I’ve learned more about myself than I ever expected.  Yoga has become my safe place.  I am honored and humbled to be able to share my passion of yoga with you and look forward to seeing you on the mat.

When off the mat I enjoy spending time with my husband, Tim.  We love traveling and staying active.  We have 2 grown children Caitlyn and Joe and a spoiled dog named Paxton!
