We understand that sometimes class names can get confusing or overwhelming. Below we have provided a breakdown of all of the classes offered at Oakleaf.

No matter your experience on the mat, there will be something for everyone.

Basic rule of thumb here, any class with the word “Sun” will be a heated class and our signature Mind Body classes are the bees knees for anyone new to your yoga journey.

Take a peek at the classes below to see what calls to you. Our instructors are amazing at allowing space for anyone that walks through our doors to meet you where you are at. You never know what you can accomplish until you try!

Intuitive Flow

Whether you are new to yoga or have an established practice, Intuitive Flow welcomes practitioners of all levels. Throughout this class, we will
encourage you to tap into your intuitive intelligence, the innate wisdom that resides within you. We will seamlessly blend traditional yoga postures, mindful movement, breathwork, and meditation to create a flowing sequence that encourages you to trust your instincts and embrace your unique journey.

Mind Body

Whether you are new or experienced in your yoga practice, this class is for you!

Our Mind Body classes are rooted in the Kripalu tradition.  Mindful warm-ups begin this thorough practice, which encompasses standing, prone, seated and supine postures.  Static in nature, meaning you’re not getting up and down off of the floor, this methodology allows students ample time to explore safe alignment, breath awareness, deep stretching and stress relief, while also strengthening the body. Modifications are offered for different levels of strength and flexibility, and permission language is given to encourage students to listen to their own bodies, rest when they like, and embrace individual needs.  The studios are warmed only enough to offer a safe and comfortable stretch.

Supportive Mind Body/Chair Yoga

Whether you are new or experienced in your yoga practice, this class is for you! This class emphasizes the use of props such as chairs, blocks, straps and bolsters to aid in your practice to be suitable for all body types and abilities. Our Mind Body classes are rooted in the Kripalu tradition.  Mindful warm-ups begin this
thorough practice, which encompasses standing, prone, seated and supine postures.  Static in nature, meaning you’re not getting up and down off of the floor, this

Restorative Vibrations

Are you looking for a powerful, relaxing and rejuvenating experience? Come join our healing crystal sound bowl soundbath.

This unique experience involves lying down or sitting comfortably while listening to the restorative vibrations of crystal singing bowls, which produce pure and soothing sound waves that resonate with your body and mind.

Each bowl is tuned to a specific frequency, which corresponds to different chakras or energy centers in your body, helping to balance and harmonize your entire system.

The combination of the crystal vibrations and the sound waves can have a profound effect on your body, promoting relaxation, reducing stress and anxiety, and even boosting your immune system. You might also experience a deep sense of inner peace and connection with yourself, as well as with the world around you.

Whether you’re looking for a way to de-stress, find balance, or simply experience something new and transformative, a healing crystal sound bowl soundbath is definitely worth trying.

Sun Power Bhakti

This class offers a dynamic flow practiced with mindful rhythm, encouraging students to focus on pranayama, breath control. As we coordinate breath and movement and flow through sequences designed to stimulate both the physical and energy bodies, we begin to understand and appreciate the true meaning and benefit of vinyasa yoga! In this version of Sun Power Bhakti, only the postures are called, with no hands-on assistance. This class delivers a high sweat factor, bring your towel, and come well hydrated. You will leave feeling cleansed and completely at ease.

Sun Power Flow

Flow more with this high energy class. Similar to Bhakti Power, static sequences may be repeated vinyasa-style with appropriate breath cues, however unlike Bhakti Power, precise and even rhythmic breath cues are not necessarily offered or encouraged, as this is more of a free-style flow class.

Sun Power Magic

This class starts with an energetic and mindful vinyasa flow, with appropriate breath cues, to warm the body and build strength. Ending with restorative shapes for a quiet contemplative practice and beautiful grounding practice. Targeting the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body. Shapes are held for 2 to 5 minutes in order to give the body time and space to release the fascia and connective tissue surrounding targeted muscle groups.

Yin and Nidra

Yin yoga is a quiet contemplative practice and beautiful grounding practice.

It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians (energy lines). Shapes are held for 2 to 5 minutes in order to give the body time and space to release the fascia and connective tissue surrounding targeted muscle groups. A guided meditation (Yoga Nidra) completes the practice.

Yoga Mix

Be prepared to be kept on your toes with this class! The instructor will continuously find new and creative ways to bring your practice to a fun and new experience. This class will change from week to week so prepare for anything from Power Flow to Yin. Not knowing is half of the fun!
